My staff is obsessed with [UAPs/UFOs]

We've got to get subpoena power, and the ability to get access to the records, the radar systems, the photographs, that will inform the decisions we have to make on funding and authorities. ... We may need other authorities that would require the establishment of a select committee.

There are so many of us now on the intel committee and armed services that we're going to stand by the service members who documented this stuff. They have video. They have radar. They have heat sensors. They have everything.

We have things flying over our military bases and places where we’re conducting military exercises and we don't know what it is and it isn't ours...

I'm glad the Pentagon is finally releasing this footage, but it only scratches the surface of research and materials available.

I am saying most of [the evidence] hasn't seen the light of day.

Advanced objects demonstrating advanced technology are routinely flying over our restricted or sensitive airspace posing a risk to both flight safety & national security.

After looking into this, I came to the conclusion that there were reports — some were substantive, some not so substantive — that there were actual [UAP] materials that the government and the private sector had in their possession... It is extremely important that information about the discovery of physical materials or retrieved craft come out.

Tomorrow's hearing will have a lot of information for the public to digest. Definitely listen to the questions these members are honing in on.

Trying to discredit a decorated veteran like David Grusch shows the desperation of the group trying to hide the truth. They will fail.

My office will be working with any other Congressional Representative or Senator wants to get on board to obtain info/documents from the Inspector General as suggested by Chris Mellon. The public deserves to know the truth.

In essence, some sort of an internal military complex that's their own government and is accountable to no one. If that is accurate, Rubio said, 'what you're basically saying is that within the government of the United States, there's a group of people who believe that they possess something that they don't need to share with anybody, including elected officials who they view as temporary employees.

These things are coming from somewhere else and this has been covered up since 1947.

This isn't really about little green men. This is about the federal government laundering your tax dollars, [aying fpr programs that none of us in Congress are aware of, let alone you the tax payer. You have the right to know what's really going on.

We've created the mother of all whistleblower processes. Where if you want to come forward, but you're afraid of being punished, or you're afraid of breaking what's called a non-disclosure agreement, we have a process where you can talk to Congress, or you can talk to AARO, and say "Hey, I saw this, I saw that, I was apart of this program."

I wanna get people who actually have knowledge of it. You know, the Pentagon has put these guys in charge of it, and they can’t even spell UFO. And it’s a joke. They’re just hosing the public, and what the Pentagon is ultimately gonna do is ask for funds. And all I want is unredacted files.

First-person accounts just have more resonance than, sort of, hearsay, generally.

The number of these is apparently huge, huge. And that is something that the government has, the best I can say about it, downplayed, if not kept from the public, for a long, long time.

Since 1947 the pentagon has denied that UFOs even exist. And now all of the sudden they're saying they exist. And it's ironic that its right after Chuck Schumer has said he's gonna put something in the NDAA, to screen photos...

What are UAP, and why are we hearing more about them? I passed legislation requiring more reporting and analysis of unidentified sightings. Now we have much more data about balloons, drones, and other aerial phenomena so we can better protect our skies. This congressionally-mandated report released last month highlights why it's so important to reduce stigma for reporting unidentified sightings, and why AARO, the office I helped create, is protecting our safety by rigorously investigating those reports.

I was told for decades that Lockheed had some of these retrieved materials. And I tried to get, as I recall, a classified approval by the Pentagon to have me go look at the stuff. They would not approve that. I don't know what all the numbers were, what kind of classification it was, but they would not give that to me. That's why I wanted AATIP [to get Special Access Program status] to take a look at it. But they wouldn't give me the clearance.

I'll tell you, the truth is I have not I have not read the report. I have not gotten the briefing. But sunlight’s the greatest disinfectant. Lots of people say, “they're disclosing it because they know something that we don't know.” Well, let them disclose it and we'll all know the truth and we'll be better off with the truth. And then I think of my dear friend, Harry Reid. We would sit together and discuss this and he had a more view of UFOs and outer space intelligence being more likely than I did, but I loved talking to him about it.

The level of backtracking and attempt at saving face from the Pentagon, DOD, and USAF is unreal. They’re not being transparent. They know it. We know it. The world knows it.

We did hearings on this less than two years ago. And you know, I was assured by all of the various units that there was no material. No organic or inorganic material that they were hiding or anything else, so I’m skeptical.

For decades, many Americans have been fascinated by objects mysterious and unexplained and it’s long past time they get some answers. The American public has a right to learn about technologies of unknown origins, non-human intelligence, and unexplainable phenomena. We are not only working to declassify what the government has previously learned about these phenomena but to create a pipeline for future research to be made public. I am honored to carry on the legacy of my mentor and dear friend, Harry Reid and fight for the transparency that the public has long demanded surround these unexplained phenomena.

I think they should be taken seriously. Obviously, Grusch’s background is legit: military, Intel., high level security clearance, so you can't just dismiss him. The question is whether he had firsthand, sort of, access to some of this stuff. Because you can't dismiss him, you're left with two possibilities: One, he’s telling the truth. Two, he’s misinformed.

With aggression from adversaries on the rise and with incidents like the Chinese spy balloon, it’s critical to our national security that we have strong air domain awareness over our homeland and around U.S. forces operating overseas... Fully funding AARO is essential to our national security; the office provides the opportunity to integrate and resolve threats and hazards to the U.S., while also offering increased transparency to the American people and reducing the stigma around this issue of high public interest.
